Terzo had his first bassoon lessons at the tender age of seven. He was born in 1990 in Palermo, a city to which he is still deeply connected today. In 2006, aged only 16, he was awarded a degree with distinction in Livorno. Terzo has also received various music awards and has been an active member of the Salzburg Mozarteum orchestra since 2010.
